Inter-university Competition
Stirling fields many teams in various sports, which compete against other universities in Britain and abroad. Stirling has an excellent track record in these competitions. In particular, it produces regular winning performances in swimming, tennis, football, rugby, netball and hockey.
Recent achievements include 11 athletes who competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, five Olympians at the 2004 Olympics, a double silver medallist at the 2004 Paralympic Games and a double silver medallist at the 2005 World Student Games.
Stirling has maintained a top 20 ranking in the British Universities Sports Association League for the last five years.
