| Gail graduated with a degree in Physical Education from Moray House Institute of Education, Heriot Watt University in 1995. She then joined the Department of Sports Studies at the University of Stirling as a Graduate Assistant and completed her M.Ed degree in 1998. Since then Gail has developed her research interest in physical education more specifically examining changes in physical education since 1945. This research interest has been developed alongside her contribution to the academic programme. She is involved in the development and delivery of a wide range of modules including Physical Education, School Sport and Youth Culture. Her academic work is balanced with her teaching role in the Sports Development Service. Her duties include widening opportunities for students, staff and members of the local community. She has specific responsibility for developing and delivering children's programmes. |

| Gail is module co-ordinator for SPS9P5 (Physical Education 2). She also teaches on SPS9B6 (Physical Education, School Sport and Youth Culture), SPS9P4 (Physical Education 1), SPS9P6 (Physical Education 3) and SPS9PA (Physical Education 4).
