| On graduating from Heriot-Watt University with a BEd (Hons) in Physical Education in 1993, Raleigh embarked on a 2-year Graduate Assistantship in the University of Stirling’s erstwhile Physical Recreation Service, where he gained an MEd in Sports Studies in 1995. He went on to complete a 6-year stint as a Sports Development Officer at Stirling University before taking on the role of Sports Performance Manager in 2001. Raleigh’s role is to take forward the development of performance sport at the University of Stirling, Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence. He also contributes to undergraduate teaching. He became an honorary member of British Universities and Colleges Sport in 2007. |

| Raleigh is module co-ordinator for SPS9B6 (Physical Education, School Sport and Youth Culture). He also contributes on SPS9D5 (The Development of Excellence in Sport) and SPS9PA (Physical Education 4). |
| External Activities |
| Raleigh is a member of the Central Scotland Institute of Sport Management Group, and the Scottish Golf Union’s Performance Committee. He is a former professional footballer and coach and acts currently as Secretary to the University of Stirling Football Club.
